Pride 5K in the Rio Grande Valley
The Pride 5K and 1 mile Fun Run/Walk takes place in Mission, Texas at the Mission Hike and Bike Trails on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The event is organized by the RGV Queer Run Club and proceeds will benefit South Texas Equality Project (STEP). The address listed for the trail area is 1801 Native Land Design, Mission, TX.
The 5K uses chip timing with live results provided by Puro 9:56 Racing. All registered participants receive a race shirt and a finisher medal; the top three finishers in each award category receive an additional medal. Award categories include non binary, male, female, and teens and kids overall (17 years and under). Packet pickup for bibs and shirts is scheduled for Friday, June 26 at Valley Running Co. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by June 6 and thereafter are available at packet pickup on a first come, first served basis. Registration fees are listed as $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 mile event.
On course and event services include a hydration station, chip timing and live results for the 5K, free race photos, and a start and finish arch. Participants may run, jog, or walk at their own pace. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
