Prelude 5k & 10k Walk/Run
Prelude Run Club is holding an inaugural community 5 km and 10 km walk/run on September 26, 2026 at the WB&A Trail staging area at Glenn Dale Community Center, 11901 Glenn Dale Blvd, Glenn Dale, MD. The WB&A Trail section in this area covers 7.4 miles from Glenn Dale to Bowie.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 10 km Run
Race entries include a race event T-shirt, a finisher's medal, a bib, and a timing chip. Registration opens May 20, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026. Entry fees listed are $43.20 for the 5 km and $48.06 for the 10 km.
Packet pickup and race check-in are provided on event day. There are post-race festival activities. Volunteer roles include registration assistance, water station management, course marshaling, and other support positions to help run the event.
