Prairie Goat Ultra
Prairie Goat Ultra is a multi-discipline endurance event near Broadview, MT on BLM land just outside Billings. The event offers both mountain bike and running options with time-limited formats that let participants complete laps on short loops.
Mountain bike racing is held on an approximately 8 mile loop with fast descents and steady climbs. E-bikes are welcome and have a separate award category. Mountain bike participants and teams can take turns completing laps to accumulate miles. Aid station provisions for bike racers include basic nutrition, water, and lunch.
Running takes place on an approximately 4 mile single-track loop with gentle elevation. Running options include 3, 6, 12, and 24 hour formats; the 24 hour run includes overnight running and requires lights and reflective gear. The running aid station includes a warm fire pit, soups, food, teas, coffee, and water. After the running events there is a free meal.
