Poznań Maraton
Poznań Maraton is a road marathon held in Poznań on 4 October 2026. The race distance is 42.195 km and the course is one loop certified by AIMS, World Athletics and PZLA. Every kilometre on the route is marked with vertical signs.
Chip timing is used and results include both gross and net times. Time controls are placed at start, 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, 21.097 km, 25 km, 30 km, 35 km, 40 km and finish. The overall time limit for completing the marathon is six hours; participants who exceed the limit must leave the course or use the vehicle marked End of Marathon.
Aid stations are placed about every 5 km from the 5 km point and will provide water at all stations; selected stations will also offer isotonic drinks, fruit and cola. Medical care is provided at the start, on the course and at the finish. After the race finishers within the time limit receive a medal and may collect fruit, drinks and a free warm meal on presentation of their bib.
The event has an entry limit of 8 000 paid participants. Prizes and financial awards are defined for general and age categories. The race is organised by the city of Poznań and Poznańskie Ośrodki Sportu i Rekreacji. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
