Pouilly-Sancerre
La Pouilly-Sancerre is a road running event centered on sport, local heritage and gastronomy. The main format is a 20 km road course between Pouilly-sur-Loire and Sancerre. The event also includes shorter formats and non‑competitive options.
The program for autumn 2026 mentions several formats on the weekend of 16–17 October:
- 20 km race and walk between Pouilly-sur-Loire and Sancerre
- 5 km semi-nocturnal race with start and finish in Pouilly-sur-Loire
- 7 km randonnée gourmande with start and finish in Pouilly-sur-Loire
- Children's races with start and finish in Pouilly-sur-Loire
Along the route and in the departure and arrival villages there are tastings with vignerons, gourmet refreshment points and local animations. The event highlights the link between two neighbouring wine territories and presents a mix of running and gastronomic stops.
Since its creation the event has raised funds for heritage projects and supports preservation efforts for local monuments including the Tour des Fiefs de Sancerre and the Tour du Pouilly‑Fumé. The Pouilly-Sancerre is organized within a network of festive regional races and is presented by La French Run Événements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
