Police Pace 5K, 10K & 1 Miler : Ellicott City, MD
The Police Pace is a community road race held at Centennial Park South Entrance in Ellicott City, Maryland, organized to benefit the Howard County Police Department through the Howard County Police Foundation. A portion of registration fees is donated to the foundation to support programs and needs not covered by the department's annual budget, including youth programs, special equipment, and scholarships.

Runners receive a shirt and finisher medal as part of registration; registering by the listed deadline guarantees a shirt. Age requirements are specified: participants must be at least 7 years old for the 5K, 10 years old for the 10K, and the 1 Miler is open to all ages. The event uses bib tag timing with the timing chip affixed to the back of the bib; real-time results are posted online.
Course provisions include two water stations on the route and porta-potties near the start and finish; there are no bathrooms along the course. Pets, baby joggers/strollers, and other non-official wheeled vehicles are prohibited.
