Event overview
Polar Paws 2026 is a winter trail running event at Long Point Eco-Adventures, 1730 Front Road, St. Williams, ON, near the shores of Lake Erie and Turkey Point. The event offers trail races on single and double track through snowy terrain with rolling climbs, narrow sections and bridges. Chip timing will record precise results. A portion of registration fees supports the Simcoe District Humane Society; a fundraising total and goal are listed for the event.

- 5k and 10k Doggo Runs
The 25k course permits participants to pass the start/finish aid area between loops for drop bags or crew. There is one aid station at the start/finish with water, electrolytes and snacks. The event is 100% cupless; participants must bring their own drinking vessel or hydration system with tube insulation if needed. The Marshview building provides indoor washrooms, hot showers, registration and post-race food and awards. Race kit pick up and on-site registration will be held in the Marshview building.
Rules and services
Dogs are allowed in separate waves for the Doggo Runs; dogs must be leashed (maximum 6 feet), no retractable leashes, and canicross style is preferred. Participants must pick up after their dogs; reactive dogs may wear a sleeve for extra space. Traction on shoes is mandatory if trails are icy; snowshoes, headphones, strollers and sleds are not allowed. All entrants receive high-resolution digital photos; awards and finisher items are provided. Time limit to complete a race is 4.5 hours.
