Event overview
Polar Paws 2026 is a winter trail running event on Saturday, January 17, 2026, held at Long Point Eco Adventures in St. Williams, ON, Canada. The event is organized by Crazy Cat Adventures and is an Athletics Ontario sanctioned race. Timing is provided by CHIPTIME RESULTS. A portion of registration proceeds supports the Simcoe District Humane Society.

The course uses single and double track trails with climbs, rollers, some narrow sections and bridges. There is one aid station at the start/finish area offering water, electrolytes and snacks. The event is 100% cupless - participants must bring their own cup, bottle or insulated hydration tube.
Dogs and rules
Dog entries have a separate wave and receive dog-specific swag. Requirements include keeping dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet, no retractable leashes, and preference for CANICROSS-style harnesses. Reactive dogs may wear a yellow sleeve for extra space. Owners must pick up after their dogs and ensure canine safety in cold conditions.
Logistics and facilities
The Marshview building provides indoor registration, washrooms, hot showers, and a heated post-race area with food and awards. There is on-site parking, though capacity is limited. Snowshoeing is not allowed on course; traction devices may be required if trails are icy. Free high-resolution race photos are included with entry.
