Point of Honor 5K
The Point of Honor 5K takes place on April 4, 2026, in downtown Lynchburg, with race headquarters at The Depot Grille, 10 9th Street. It is the 17th annual running of the event. The race raises awareness for organ and tissue donation and directs proceeds to LifeNet Health. The course will start and finish near The Depot Grille and will use the Blackwater Creek Trail for the majority of the route; a final course map will be provided once trail work is confirmed. Walkers are welcome. Pets and standard strollers are not allowed; assisted participants using an event-appropriate stroller must register and will be ranked separately. The event follows youth participation guidance and is limited to participants aged 8 and older.

Registration opens January 1, 2026. General registration fees are $30 (Jan 1–Feb 28), $35 (Mar 1–Apr 2), and $40 (Apr 3–Apr 4). Special pricing for ages 12 and under is $15 (Jan 1–Apr 2); youth pricing does not include a race shirt (shirt can be added for $10). Registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. Lynchburg Road Runners members may receive a $5 discount during a limited period; membership must be current and valid through race day. T-shirts are guaranteed for those registered by March 1, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled at Riverside Runners on April 3 and at The Depot Grille on race day. Awards use chip time and include top overall, top master (40+), and five-year age group placings.
