Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K
The Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K is organized by Boy Scout Troop 407 as a fundraiser to support scouts attending a six day summer camp. The event takes place on July 4, 2026 at the Pleasant Mount Community Center, 377 Great Bend Turnpike, Pleasant Mount, PA 18453.
Participants may run or walk the marked 5K course (3.1 miles). All participants must be able to complete the course within one hour because a community parade and festivities at the community center follow the race. Chip timing will be used and participants receive chipped numbers for accurate results.
Registration opens April 24, 2026. A staggered fee schedule applies: registration is $20 through May 30, $25 from May 31 through June 15, and $30 after June 15. Children aged 10 and under are free and can register online. To be guaranteed a commemorative race T shirt, registrants must both register and select a shirt size by June 20, 2026.
Awards are presented to overall male and female winners and to first, second and third place finishers in age categories for both sexes. Age groups include 10 and under, 11 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
