Event details, awards and charity
Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. Registrants are advised to register by 05/16 to guarantee t-shirt size. The 1 Mile is an untimed event and has no age group awards. The Kid's Dash is free; dashers may purchase a t-shirt and finisher medal as add-ons.
Age-group awards apply to the 5K only. Age groups are awarded three deep in the following divisions: M/F 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+. Overall and masters categories (Overall Male, Overall Female, Male Masters 40+, Female Masters 40+, Male Grand Masters 60+, Female Grand Masters 60+) will receive platinum medals. Awards will be distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
A virtual option includes shipping of the shirt and medal the week of the race. The event states it donates 100% of all profits and donations to The Hunger Project. Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank you. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
