Event overview
The Pizza Party 5000 is the second annual "Race to End Word Hunger" event set for Sat May 30, 2026 in DFW, TX 75041. The event is produced by Run Different and supports The Hunger Project. The organizer states it will donate 100% of all profits and 100% of all donations to that organization. Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. Participants must register by 05/16 to guarantee a t-shirt size. The virtual option ships the shirt and medal the week of the race. Awards will be distributed at the event and will not be shipped.

The Kid's Dash is a short 100–200 meter sprint; dashers run free and may purchase a t-shirt or finisher medal as add-ons. The 1 Mile option is untimed and has no age group awards. The 5K is eligible for age group awards only. Age groups are awarded three deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall, masters (40+), and grand masters (60+) categories receive platinum medals. Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank you.
