Pirate 5K Booty Run - Overview
The Pirate 5K Booty Run takes place on January 24, 2026. It is the 12th annual running of the event. The race is held at Woodward Park - Shinzen Group Activity Area, 7775 N Friant Rd, Fresno, CA. The event is part of the 2026 Classic Runner of the Year Series; points are earned based on age-group finish and no extra registration is required for series scoring. The 5K and 2M events list a registration price of $49.45 (includes $4.45 fee) with a reduced price of $28.25 for ages 1 to 9. Prices increase after January 12, 2026. The Virtual Run price is $60.05 (includes $5.05 fee); virtual registration closes January 24, 2026 at 11:59pm PST.
Finishers receive a pirate finisher medal and an event shirt. There is a costume contest and walkers and strollers are allowed. A treasure chest valued at $2,000 will be awarded; winners must be present. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, January 23rd, 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Fleet Feet Fresno (Ft Washington & Friant Rd).
