Pipestem Pumpkin Run : event overview
Pipestem Pumpkin Run is a community running event held at Pipestem Resort State Park in Pipestem, WV (3405 Pipestem Drive) on October 31, 2026. The organizer marks the 50th anniversary of the event. Online registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes October 29, 2026.

Course notes describe looped routes that start at the Amphitheater parking lot. The 10K follows the main drive, passes the Splash Park and Cottage Area C, circles back near Bolar Observation Tower, and returns past Park Headquarters to the start. The 5K and 5K Walk follow the main road, turn around near the Superintendent’s residence, and finish at Park Headquarters. Restrooms are available at Park Headquarters and Canyon Rim Center.
Entry fees are listed with an early fee of $20 and a race day fee of $30; SWVRRC member discounts are noted as early $15 and race day $20. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 80 registered; no T-shirts are provided for the Kids Run. Awards include top three male and female and top three age group finishers for the 5K and 10K, with age groups from 11 and under up to 70 plus. The 5K Walk awards the top five overall. A costume contest is part of the event with prizes including a one-night stay at McKeever Lodge, subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
