Pipestem Pumpkin Run : 50th Anniversary
The Pipestem Pumpkin Run takes place at Pipestem Resort State Park in Pipestem, West Virginia. The scenic course is located about 18 miles north of Princeton on Route 20. Online registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes October 29, 2026.

Course notes describe starts and finishes at the Amphitheater parking lot with routes using the park main drive, Cottage Area C, and Park Headquarters. The 10K route passes the Splash Park and turns near Bolar Observation Tower. The 5K routes turn around just past the superintendent’s residence. Restrooms are available at Park Headquarters and Canyon Rim Center.
Entry fees begin at $25 early with higher fees on race day and a reduced early fee for SWVRRC members. Long sleeve 50th anniversary shirts are guaranteed for the first 80 registered, with priority to pre-registered entrants. Timing is electronic with immediate online results provided by New River Timing. Awards include top three male and female and age-group awards for the 5K and 10K; 5K Walk awards go to the top five overall.
