Pink Strides 5K
The Pink Strides 5K is a run and walk event on November 8 2026 in Iowa City at 125 N Madison Street, organized by the American Cancer Society student organization at the University of Iowa. The event honors breast cancer survivors and raises funds for American Cancer Society programs.
There are three participation options with set fees: Student and faculty timed 5K for $10.00, community timed 5K for $15.00, and a Walk 5K for $12.00. Registration opens September 11 2026 and closes November 8 2026.
Proceeds support cancer research grants including a stated $2 million in research grants from ACS at the UIHC, lodging services for cancer patients such as the Russel and Ann Gerdin Hope Lodge in Iowa City, and patient programs across the country administered by the American Cancer Society.
