Pink October Race for Awareness 5K
The Pink October Race for Awareness is a community 5K run held in Yuba City at Geweke Field / Geweke Ford Kia, 871 E. Onstott Road. The event is organized to honor cancer survivors and those who have battled breast cancer and other female forms of cancer. Participants are encouraged to wear pink; the event is presented as family friendly and dog friendly. A pancake breakfast is held at Geweke Ford after the run.
The event benefits Geweke's Caring for Women Foundation, which directs funds locally within the Yuba-Sutter community. The foundation provides up to $3,000 in financial assistance to women battling female forms of cancer. Since the foundation began in 2006, it reports more than $1.6 million returned to the local community and assistance provided to over 618 women, in addition to support through imaging partnerships with Sutter Health and Adventist Health.
Registration for the run is free and opens July 7, 2026 with a closing date of September 15, 2026. Early packet bag pick-up is available at Geweke Ford the day before the event between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. Event parking is available at Gray Avenue School or Geweke Ford Kia; carpooling is encouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
