Pineapple Express Trail Run 2027 : Wild Coast Sun, Eastern Cape
The Pineapple Express Trail Run is a coastal trail running event taking place on 3 July 2027 at Wild Coast Sun, Mbizana, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The event offers three distance categories with coastal and mixed-terrain course features including beach sections, rocky points, flowing rivers and trails that finish at Wild Coast Sun in front of the resort amenities.
Distances:
- 30 km starting from Ramsgate Beach
- 21 km starting from Trafalgar Beach
- 12 km starting from Glenmore Beach
Entry includes a custom dry-fit race shirt, a pair of Gilnokie socks, a goodie bag (not included for late entries), a timed race number, on-route emergency medical assistance, water points approximately every 8 to 9 km, runner check-in points at water tables, race sweepers, a finisher medal, and complimentary entrance to Wild Waves. Prize money and additional lucky-draw prizes are listed for top finishers in the longer races.
Organising partners include Wild Coast Sun, Rotary Club of Port Edward, South Coast Tourism and NSRI, which is the event charity. A shuttle service from Wild Coast Sun to each start is available for a fee of R250 per person with limited seats. Registration windows are early bird entries until 2 March 2027, standard entries from 2 March to 3 June, and late entries from 4 June to 30 June.
