Pine Lake Triathlon
Event scheduled for July 19, 2026 at Pine Lake / Tsi Man beach near Haines Junction, Yukon, Canada.
The announced distances are:
- 1 km swim
- 23 km bike
- 6 km run
This is the second annual edition, volunteer run and self supported, with safety checkpoints along the route. Search and Rescue boats will be on the water during the swim.
Participants must carry bear spray for the bike and run portions. The bike route follows a dirt logging road and then highway; a hybrid or gravel bike is recommended. Bikes can be dropped off ahead of time on the other side of Pine Lake, with volunteers monitoring the transfer station and the bike drop before the run. The run takes place on the paved Trans Canada trail along the highway back to the campground.
The event is open to all and is organized as a relaxed community event. Registration accepts solo entrants and teams of two or three. The listed registration fee is CA$44.09 per person and includes a t shirt and helps cover on site food, a sticker and some prizes. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver in person the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
