About the race
HOMERUN Pillerseetal is a mountain half marathon held on 26 October 2026 in the Pillerseetal valley with the event area located at the Kulturhaus in Hochfilzen. The race continues a long local tradition after an organizational change to FKK Tirol and features a revised start and finish area while keeping much of the familiar course.
Distances and formats:
- Half marathon: 22.5 km, 400 m elevation gain
- 3-person relay: legs of 9.2 km, 5.6 km and 7.7 km
- Kids races: U8 500 m, U10 1 000 m, U12 1 500 m
The course runs around the Buchensteinwand and includes the Jakobskreuz as a notable landmark. Surface composition is roughly 70% gravel or forest roads and 30% asphalt. There are four aid stations on the route at about 4 km, 9.2 km, 14.7 km and 18.5 km; the stations provide water and electrolytes, and two of them also offer fruit and bars. A finish station offers water, electrolytes, bars and sweet baked goods.
Logistics mentioned for the relay include handover points at Vornbichl and the bus stop Flecken. Public transport and train access are recommended; official parking is available along Regio-Tech-Straße in Hochfilzen. Entry fees listed are 40 EUR individual, 60 EUR relay, and 15 EUR children.
