10th Pick and Mix : Wendover, 31 May 2026
The 10th Pick and Mix is an organised walking event based at Wendover Memorial Hall in Wendover, Bucks. Participants build their chosen total distance by combining looped routes that cover mainly field paths, tracks, woods and streams through undulating countryside with views across the Chilterns.
Available loop distances:
- 10-mile loop
- 8-mile loop
- 6-mile loop
- 5-mile loop
Route descriptions must be downloaded and printed in advance; they will not be available on the day. Marked maps for the event cover OS LR 165 or OS EXP 181. GPX files and the route descriptions are published on the BBN website from 25 May 2026. There is no support on the routes.
The entry fee includes drinks and food at the hall between loops and at the finish. Vegetarian options will be provided and some vegan food may be available, but specific dietary requirements cannot be guaranteed. Refreshments are prepared and served under uncontrolled conditions.
Parking is in the school next to the hall; participants should follow marshals’ directions. Wendover rail station is about a 15 minute walk from the venue. Dogs are allowed on the event but not in the hall except assistance dogs; dogs must be on leads and have appropriate liability insurance.
Entry details: entries open 1 April and close 28 May 2026. Fees are LDWA members £10, non-LDWA £13; under 18s free and must be accompanied by an adult. There are no entries on the day and entries are not transferable. Refunds before 17 May incur a £2 admin fee; after that date no refunds are offered unless a place is filled from the waiting list.
