Philmont Trail Race
The Philmont Trail Race takes place at the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. This event utilizes the extensive trail system of a 140,000 acre high adventure camp operated by Scouting America. The ranch features over 300 miles of trails and serves as a venue for educational backpacking treks and various outdoor programs.
Registration is open to participants aged 18 and older. The race offers four distinct distances to accommodate different preferences:
- 50 Mile
- Marathon
- Heavy Half (18 Miles)
- Tooth Ridge Sprint (8 Miles)
The event schedule includes packet pickup on the day prior to the race at the Philmont Welcome Center. On race day, transportation is provided via bus from the Welcome Center to the respective start lines for each distance. The finish line is located at the Silver Sage Staff Activity Center. Registered participants have access to lunch and dinner at the dining hall on the day of the event.
