Philmont Trail Race
The Philmont Trail Race takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Philmont Scout Ranch. The race offers four distinct distance options:
- 50 Mile
- Marathon
- Heavy Half (18 Miles)
- Tooth Ridge Sprint (8 Miles)
All race events are for participants aged 18 and over. The event includes a schedule with staggered start times, bus transportation from the Welcome Center to various start lines, and a finish line at the Silver Sage Staff Activity Center. Post-race meals are provided for participants at the Dining Hall.
Proceeds from the race benefit Philmont Scout Ranch, a 140,000-acre high-adventure camp with over 300 miles of trails, which is operated by Scouting America to provide youth programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
