Peter De Mott Peace Trot 5K & 1 Mile
The Peter De Mott Peace Trot is an annual 5K and 1-mile run organized by the Ithaca Catholic Worker in honor of a peace activist and Ithaca community member. The event has been held as a family Father’s Day tradition and also attracts competitive runners to its well known fast course.
Distances offered include:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
Registration is offered by credit card, by check, and by mail to the Ithaca Catholic Worker. The suggested registration fee is $35 and increases to $45 on race day; participants who raise $100 or more in sponsorships may have the $35 fee waived.
All participants receive a newly designed collectable t-shirt. Nutritious food is provided after the run. Age group winners choose unique practical, artistic, or quirky prizes. The event takes place in Cass Park and will be held at the marina this year due to construction at the regular pavilion site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
