About the race
The West Australian Marathon Club conducts the Perth Half Marathon & 5km on Sunday 1 August 2027 at the WAMC Club Rooms in Western Australia. The event offers two distances:
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 5 km run
This edition hosts the WA State Half Marathon Championships and includes a Kids Marathon. Event proceeds will be donated to the Lions Save Sight Foundation. All finishers in both the half marathon and the 5 km receive finishers medals.
Entries include tiered fees for members and non-members, with separate rates for under‑18s. Online registrations close on Thursday 29 July 2027 and a late registration penalty applies from the Saturday before the event for non-members. Bib collection is required before race day under a No Bib = No Race policy; a nominated person may collect on a participant’s behalf and out-of-area entrants must arrange collection in advance by email.
Practical arrangements include an unmanned bag drop at the start/finish area, designated parking restrictions with drop-off permitted, and on-course support from KODA Nutrition including electrolyte products and a complimentary energy gel on race day with presentation of a half marathon bib. Shoe donations are collected for the Geraldton Sporting Aboriginal Corporation for distribution to regional communities.
Health and safety instructions cover permitted equipment, use of headphones, and guidance on withdrawing if unwell. The event cut-off time is 11:00 am. Pacers will run set pace groups for the half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
