The Pelee Island Winery Half Marathon takes place on Pelee Island, ON, Canada on May 30, 2026. The event is a half marathon that finishes at Pelee Island Winery. Registration is limited to approximately 400 participants and is processed in Canadian dollars. Registration includes a wine-inspired long sleeve recovery hoodie, an award medal, a bib, and one finish-line party ticket that includes access to the finish line luncheon and a 6 oz glass of Pelee Island wine. The event and the winery maintain a no refund policy. Extra luncheon tickets are available for guests at stated prices for adults and children under 11.
Course and logistics
The course runs counterclockwise for roughly seven-eighths around the island and finishes inside the winery. Surface types on the course include a mixture of pavement, gravel, and tar-and-chip. The route sequence noted for 2026 is: first 5K paved (tar & chip), next 8K gravel, and the final 8K paved, with the last section offering coastal views on the west side. Aid stations are placed approximately every 2 km and include a Port-A-John with hand sanitizer, water, electrolyte drink, and basic runner supplies; a water/GU station is located at 10K. Race kit pick-up is at the Pelee Island Winery Pavilion. Travel to the island requires ferry service from the Leamington terminal; sailings are about 1.5 hours, reservations are required, and fares for walk-on passengers and vehicles are published but subject to change.
