Pelee Island 2026 Half Marathon
The event marks the twelfth running of the Pelee Island Winery Half Marathon on Pelee Island, a remote Lake Erie island, and finishes at Pelee Island Winery. It is described as Canada’s most southern half marathon and is limited to approximately 400 participants.
The course is timed and well marked. Surface types include pavement, gravel, and tar and chip. Aid stations and portable toilets are located at approximately every 2 km. The route is managed and signposted for participants.
Registration includes a wine inspired long sleeve recovery hoodie, an award winning medal, a race bib, and a ticket to the post race party that features wine tasting. Additional luncheon tickets for guests are available with listed prices of 65 USD for adults and 55 USD for children under 11; these tickets are limited. The winery maintains a no refund policy.
Accommodation inventory on the island is reduced as a result of the pandemic, which affects available cottages, BnBs and camping spots. A special ferry schedule between Leamington and Pelee Island operates for the race weekend to support participant travel. The event date is Saturday, May 30.
