Pelee Island Winery Half Marathon 2026
The event is the twelfth running of the Pelee Island Winery Half Marathon, scheduled for May 30, 2026 on Pelee Island, Ontario, Canada. The race is limited to approximately 400 participants. Registration is in Canadian dollars and the event has a no-refund policy. Entry includes a wine-inspired long-sleeve recovery hoodie, a medal, a bib, and one ticket to the finish-line luncheon with wine tasting. Extra luncheon tickets are available at set prices for adults and children and are limited.
Course, services and travel
The course travels counterclockwise beginning near the winery and goes about seven-eighths around the island, finishing inside the Pelee Island Winery. Surfaces include a mixture of pavement, gravel, and tar-and-chip. The advertised course sequence is: first 5 km paved, next 8 km gravel on the east side, and the final 8 km on paved roads into the winery. Aid stations are placed approximately every 2 km and include a Port-A-John, water, an electrolyte drink, and a runner aid kit; a water station near 10 km offers GU. Race kit pick-up is at the Pelee Island Winery Pavilion (20 East West Rd) on the day before the race and race morning. Travel to the island requires the ferry from Leamington or Sandusky; crossings take about 1.5 hours and reservations are required. Taxi service is not currently available on the island.
