Paws & Peeps 5K Easter Run
Organized by Run For Paws and Aztlán Athletics, the Paws & Peeps 5K is an Easter-themed running event held at Grand View Elysian Park in Los Angeles. This event highlights the bond between humans and their dogs while promoting animal adoption and healthy living. Participants have the option to complete the course with or without a pet.
The event features several distances and categories:
- 5 km (with pet)
- 5 km (without pet)
- 1 mile (Kids Run)
All registered participants receive an official t-shirt, a chip-timed race bib, and a finisher medal featuring Easter-themed details and the silhouette of a runner with a dog. Finish line hydration is provided for both humans and canine participants. The first 300 registered participants also receive bunny ears for their pets.
For those participating with a dog, specific rules apply to ensure safety. Only one dog is permitted per walker or runner, and the person handling the dog must be at least 18 years old. All dogs must remain on a non-extendable leash no longer than four feet at all times. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets and ensuring their dogs are current on all required vaccinations.
