18th Annual 5K Family Walk / Run
This community event offers a 5K Run and a 5K Walk at the JCC located at 613 S. J. Strauss Lane in Kingston, PA. A free noncompetitive fun run for children ages 10 and under will take place the same day alongside a Family Fun Day.
Registration carries a fee of $25 per person, with a higher fee applied for day-of registration. Awards include medals for overall male and female runners and walkers, plus first, second, and third place medals across eight age categories: 15 & under; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 & up.
The event is held in memory of a former board member of the Family Service Association of NEPA and supports the association’s programs. Proceeds from the event will benefit PA 211 NE/Help Line.
PA 211 NE/Help Line is a 24/7/365 information and referral service that serves 17 counties. The service handles crisis and resource calls on topics including utility assistance, food banks, emergency housing, child abuse and neglect, mental health, substance abuse, victim services, aging services, and volunteer opportunities.
