About the race
Pasqua Peaks Trail Race is a trail running event held in Echo Valley Provincial Park near Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. The fourth annual edition takes place on October 3, 2027 and offers multiple distance options that use the park's single-track and cross country ski trails. The event starts at the Glacier Rock Centre and uses named park trails including Owl, Eagle, Otter, Badger, Raccoon, Raven, Mink, Deer and sections called the Rock Garden and Hole in Wall. The 5k course follows Owl, Eagle and Otter, then finishes via Badger and the Rock Garden.
The 13k course covers roughly 400 m of elevation gain, visits many of the animal-named trails, passes an aid station near kilometre 4, climbs stairs on the Interpretive Trail, and returns past the aid station before finishing on Badger. The 26k option is approximately two loops of the 13k course. Registration opens in spring 2027 and places are limited. A waitlist and transfer process is managed through Race Roster; transfers require the entrant's full name, contact details and acknowledgement, and refunds are only issued if a spot is taken less a $5 transfer fee.
Waitlist and transfers close on September 22. In 2026 proceeds were distributed to Fort Qu’Appelle Community Outreach and Food Bank, which runs community dinners, food hampers, a Christmas Hamper program, the Secret Backpack for children, and the After the Bell summer food program.
