Party in Pink 5K/10K Run/Walk : Vinton, IA
The Party in Pink event takes place over July 17–19, 2026 in downtown Vinton on the east side of the courthouse. The event includes in person and virtual race options and supports the Virginia Gay Hospital Gifts of Hope fund, which provides free mammograms, diagnostic services, clinic visits, co-pays, pelvic exams, and Pap tests for people who need financial help.
Race formats and distances include:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 mile
- Virtual 5 km
- Children's race (route around the courthouse, ages 8 and under)
A children’s race is organized around the courthouse and each participating child receives a medal. For in person competition, medals are awarded for first, second, and third place within age and gender categories; in person results are separate from virtual results. T shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by July 3, 2026, and shirts can be shipped within the U.S. for a flat fee of $7.50. Packet pick up and a survivor recognition gathering are scheduled in advance at Red Cedar Wine Bar at The Niche, 115 W 4th Street, Vinton.
