Parklands Running Festival
The Parklands Running Festival is held at Lizard Log in the Western Sydney Parklands. The event offers four race distances: a Half Marathon, a 10 km, a 5 km, and a 2 km Family Dash.
The course is described as nature-filled and hilly, using paved footpaths and roads. The first and last 200 meters of the run are on grass. The event is professionally chip-timed. All finishers receive a themed medal, post-race snacks, sponsor giveaways, and a finisher's certificate.
For the Family Dash, an accompanying adult can run with a child for an additional fee; the adult is not timed and does not receive a medal. The Half Marathon has a cut-off time of 3.5 hours; the other distances do not have cut-off times. Race bibs are posted two weeks before the event if registered in time. A photographer will be on the course.
The event is reachable by car, with parking available at Lizard Log. Public transport is noted as not starting early enough on a Sunday morning. Other pedestrians, cyclists, and dogs may be present on the paths during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
