Parklands Running Festival

Parklands Running Festival is held at Lizard Log in Western Sydney Parklands, Abbotsbury. The event includes multiple distances offered on a nature filled course through parkland near Cowpasture Road.

The available distances are:

• Half Marathon
• 10 km
• 5 km
• 2 km Family Dash

The course is on paved footpaths and roads and includes a few challenging hills. The first and last 200 metres of the route are on grass. There will be other pedestrians and cyclists on the paths, so participants should remain aware of their surroundings and avoid using earphones.

All event distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia. Finishers receive a themed medal, post race snacks, sponsor giveaways and a finisher certificate. A photographer will take images on course. There are no cut off times for the 2 km, 5 km or 10 km; the Half Marathon has a four hour cut off.

Early access by public transport is limited on race morning, so the event is primarily reachable by car. Large carparks are available on the east and west sides of Lizard Log with access from Horsley Drive. A grass overflow car park may be used and is suitable for 4WD vehicles depending on weather. Race bibs are printed three weeks before the event and posted two weeks out. For the 2 km Family Dash an accompanying adult may run for an additional fee; the accompanying adult will not be timed and will not receive a medal.
