About the race
Parklands Running Festival is a community running event held at Lizard Log in Abbotsbury within the Western Sydney Parklands. The event offers multiple race distances and a nature-filled course that includes several challenging hills on paved roads and paths; the first and last 200 m are on grass.
Event distances
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km Family Dash
All event distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia. There is a 3.5 hour cut-off for the Half Marathon; the 2 km, 5 km and 10 km have no cut-off times. Finishers receive a themed medal, post-race snacks, sponsor giveaways and a finisher’s certificate. The Family Dash allows an accompanying adult for an additional $10; that adult is not timed and does not receive a medal.
The event village includes registration, bib pick-up, bag drop and sponsor tents. Race bibs are printed three weeks before the event and posted two weeks out if requested. The venue is primarily reachable by car early on race morning; large car parks are available on the east and west sides of Lizard Log and a grass overflow car park may be 4WD only depending on weather. A photographer will take course photos to be published after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
