Event overview
The Parklands Running Festival takes place on 14 June 2026 at Lizard Log in Western Sydney Parklands, Abbotsbury, NSW. Events on the day include these distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km Family Dash
All official distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia. All finishers receive a themed medal, post-race snacks, sponsor giveaways and a finisher certificate. A photographer will be present on course and photos will be published after the event. The 2 km Family Dash allows an accompanying adult for an additional $10; the accompanying adult will not be timed and will not receive a finishers medal.
Course and logistics
The course runs through a nature-filled area on paved footpaths and roads and includes several challenging hills. The first and last 200 m of the course are on grass. There are no cut off times for the 2 km, 5 km or 10 km; the Half Marathon has a 4-hour cut off. Race bibs are printed three weeks before the event and posted two weeks before; to have a name on a bib a runner must register at least three weeks before the event. Public transport is not available early on Sunday morning; the site is reachable by car and there are large carparks on the east and west sides of Lizard Log plus a grass overflow car park that may require 4WD depending on weather.
