About the race
Paraty Brazil by UTMB is a trail running event held in Paraty on Brazil’s southeastern coast from 23 to 26 September 2027. The event is supported by the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the Municipality of Paraty, and ICMBio.

Courses connect beaches, native forests, mountains, and local villages, offering varied terrain and coastal-to-mountain routes. Peaks in the region reach up to 1,840 meters in elevation, and course profiles include substantial elevation gain on longer distances.
Race distances and reported elevation gains include:
- 101 km : 4,850 m+ elevation gain
- 53 km : 3,200 m+ elevation gain
- 34 km : 1,100 m+ elevation gain
