Paradise Backyard Ultra (May 22, 2026)
The Paradise Backyard Ultra is scheduled for May 22, 2026, at Paradise Park in Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador. The 2026 edition is labeled the "Silver Coin" edition. Organizers have indicated registration will open on October 23. The event is run as a backyard ultra format and the 2026 winner will earn the right to represent Canada at the national championships in British Columbia in October 2026.
Field, refunds, merchandise and past results
Organizers reported an expanded field size of 200 participants for the 2025 event and offered partial refunds of $60 to registrants unable to run, available during January; refund requests were handled via message or email to the organizers. The event is organized as a non-profit; proceeds are to be donated to the East Coast Trail Association and a charity chosen by the Town of Paradise. Custom t-shirts and hats are offered through an outfitter, with an option to add a name to shirts at no extra charge; orders are placed periodically and an ordering deadline was set for March 31 to receive gear by race day.
