About the race
The Panewnicki Bieg Dzika is a recreational running event held in the Panewnickie forests of Katowice, organized by the Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education and KS AZS AWF Katowice. The twelfth edition takes place in November and aims to promote an active lifestyle, the beauty of local forests, and the city of Katowice as the European City of Science 2024. Participants can engage in running or Nordic walking on a marked loop of 4,882 meters, with a time limit of three hours.
