About the race
Palouse Divide Lodge in Benewah County, Idaho hosts a two day community festival on Saturday August 22 and Sunday August 23. The event takes place at the Palouse Divide Lodge and adjacent outdoor areas. Indoor and outdoor program elements include hiking, mountain biking, camping, yoga, massage, crafts and kids activities, a silent auction to support the Palouse Divide Community Co-op, quilt raffle, retail and food vendors, antiques, live music on the lodge porch, food trucks, and stargazing. An exhibit titled "The Palouse Divide Lodge: It’s Past, Present, and Future" is presented in the historic CCC cabin during the festival. On Sunday a community fun run offers both a 10 km and a 5 km option and is supported by the Palouse Roadrunners; route maps are provided for each distance.
Camping passes are sold at the gate. Parking is limited; attendees are asked to use designated parking areas, consider carpooling, and keep all roadways clear for emergencies. Admission is free and no one will be turned away for lack of payment. Suggested donations are listed at the gate as a guideline.
Suggested items to bring include camp chairs or blankets, refillable water bottles for potable water stations, sun protection, overnight gear for campers, necessary medications, and any personal craft or recreation items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
