Palisades Half Marathon and 6K Trail Run
The Palisades Half Marathon and 6K Trail Run take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with both races starting and finishing at Fort Lee Historic Park. The half marathon uses a newly updated USATF certified course that covers 13.1 paved miles and records over 1430 ft of elevation gain along the Palisades ridge. The 6K Trail Run descends to the Shore Trail along the Hudson River, climbs through tunnels and rugged crags, and connects to the Long Path.
Race logistics include car parking with details forthcoming, regular shuttle service between uptown Manhattan and Fort Lee, free bicycle parking, and on site bag check. Registration for either race includes a free t shirt and a finish medal. Detailed route maps are provided for each course.
The Palisades Parks Half Marathon is part of the USATF Grand Prix with points awards listed as 500 and 700 Wildcard Points; the 6K Trail Run is not part of the Grand Prix. All registration fees support the Palisades Parks Conservancy and the network of 29 state parks and historic sites served by the organization, from the GW Bridge to the Catskill Mountains.
Volunteer crews support check in, water stations, and course guidance. The organizer does not offer refunds or deferrals; registration may be transferred to another person. The event runs rain or shine unless extreme conditions force cancellation and conversion of fees to donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
