Palisades Half Marathon + Trail Run : Fort Lee, NJ
The Palisades Half Marathon and Trail Run are scheduled for September 27, 2026, at Palisades Interstate Park in Fort Lee, New Jersey. The half marathon is a paved 13.1 mile course that follows the Palisades ridge and includes about 1,200 feet of elevation gain. A newly updated USTFA certified half marathon course will be announced.
The trail run is a shorter, mixed-terrain route that tours the rocky cliffs of the Palisades; exact course length and route are pending and will be shared later.
Registration windows and fees:
- Half Marathon registration opens March 26, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026; fee $80.00.
- Trail Run registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026; fee $50.00. Registration for either race includes a complimentary t-shirt and a finish medal.
Event logistics note that car parking will be available with details to follow. Regular shuttle services between uptown Manhattan and Fort Lee will operate before and throughout the event. Free bicycle parking and on-site bag check will be provided.
All proceeds support the Palisades Parks Conservancy and the network of 29 state parks and historic sites served, from the GW Bridge to the Catskill Mountains.
Volunteers are being recruited to support check-in, water stations, and course guidance. There are no refunds or deferrals; registration transfers may be arranged with the organizer. The event is planned to run rain or shine; in extreme conditions the race may be canceled and fees converted to donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
