Palisades Half Marathon and 6K Trail Run
Both races take place in Fort Lee, New Jersey on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Two events are offered with distinct courses and registration windows.
- 13.1 miles, paved course along the Palisades ridge, about 1200 ft elevation
- 6K, mixed-terrain trail touring the rocky cliffs of the Palisades
A newly updated USATF certified half marathon course is forthcoming. The specific route for the 6K trail run is still pending.
Registration windows and fees are:
- Half marathon registration opens March 27, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026; fee $85.00.
- 6K trail run registration opens May 29, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026; fee $55.00.
Event logistics note car parking will be available with details forthcoming. Regular shuttle service between uptown Manhattan and Fort Lee will operate before and during the event. Free bicycle parking and on-site bag check will be provided. Registration for either race includes a t-shirt and a finish medal.
All registration fees support the Palisades Parks Conservancy and its network of 29 state parks and historic sites from the GW Bridge to the Catskill Mountains. The organization does not offer refunds or deferrals; transfers may be arranged through the event organizers. The event is scheduled to run rain or shine, with cancellation in extreme conditions converting fees to donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
