Palisades Half Marathon and 6K Trail Run
The Palisades Half Marathon and 6K Trail Run take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with both races starting and finishing at Fort Lee Historic Park.
Distances
- Half Marathon : 13.1 paved miles, USATF certified, 1430 ft elevation gain.
- 6K Trail Run : trail course descending to the Shore Trail along the Hudson River.
The half marathon follows an updated USATF certified course along the Palisades ridge. The 6K trail route descends to the river, climbs the cliffs through tunnels and rugged rock, and connects to the Long Path.
Event services include car parking (details forthcoming), regular shuttle service between uptown Manhattan and Fort Lee, free bicycle parking, and on-site bag check. Registration includes a US grown cotton t-shirt and a finish medal. Advanced packet pickup is offered on Tuesday, September 22 at Fort Lee Historic Park and on Thursday, September 24 at Fleet Feet Columbus Circle; day-of packet pickup takes place at the Start Festival at Fort Lee Historic Park and shirts collected that morning are distributed after the race. Advanced pickup packets include a bib, t-shirt, energy gel and gummies, printed maps, and a raffle entry.
All registration fees support the Palisades Parks Conservancy and the network of 29 state parks and historic sites from the GW Bridge to the Catskill Mountains. Refunds and deferrals are not offered; transfers to another participant may be arranged with the organizers. In extreme inclement weather the race may be canceled and fees converted to donations.
