Painted Hills Festival Runs
The Painted Hills Festival offers three distinct distances for participants to explore the landscape of central Oregon. The event takes place in Mitchell and features a Half Marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. The routes utilize backroads through remote areas, characterized by rugged scenery and natural formations.
Participants in the Half Marathon begin their race at the Painted Hills. From this location, the course follows remote roads that wind through the surrounding terrain, eventually leading into the historic town of Mitchell. Support is provided throughout the event, with water and aid stations positioned at intervals along the various race courses.
Event Logistics
Race day procedures take place at the Mitchell gym located at 202 SE High St. This location serves as the hub for bib pickup and late registration. To reach the specific starting points for the different race distances, a shuttle bus service transports participants from the gym to their designated locations.
Event shirts are provided to those who register by August 18th. Any remaining shirts following the pre-registration deadline are made available at the Country Store in the park after the event concludes.
