About the race
The 4th Annual Paint the Downtown 5K takes place in Plainview, Texas, and is promoted by Broadway Brew Coffeehouse. The event uses the same 5k route as previous years and raises funds for downtown improvements, including paint, while encouraging community involvement in running.
There are three participation options:
- 3.1 Miles Paint the Downtown 5k
- 1 Mile Paint the Downtown 1 Mile run/walk
- 5K Paint the Downtown 5k Virtual Race
Registration opens on July 3, 2026, and registrations close on October 2, 2026. The registration fee is $40 for each option. Participants who register before September 22 will receive the 2026 Paint the Downtown t-shirt; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt.
The in-person event is based at Broadway Brew, 108 E 7th St., Plainview, TX. Packet pickup is at the Broadway Brew from 5 to 7 P.M. on October 2, the evening before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
