About the race
The Stracittadine are the non-competitive races held alongside the Padova Marathon. They take place in the centre of Padua, with start and finish in Prato della Valle, and involve routes that run through the city centre and along the riverbanks.
There are three route options:
- 1 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
The 1 km route is intended primarily for older people and participants with disabilities. The 5 km route is typically the most participated. The 10 km route is offered for runners who want a longer non-competitive test and for those preparing to take part in an official race later.
The Stracittadine welcome families, tourists, children and companions of marathon participants who want to spend time outdoors while the main competitions take place. The format emphasises a shared, non-competitive experience within the broader programme of Padova Marathon, which includes events such as the marathon, half marathon, 10Crono, Padova Night Run, the paralympic race and the Breakfast Run.
