Pacific Beach Half Marathon & 5K
The Pacific Beach Half Marathon & 5K is a two-day race weekend in Pacific Beach on October 3-4, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and a combined challenge that spans both days.
- Half Marathon, point to point from Crown Point Park to Thomas Ave finish
- 5K, beach course about 50% sand and 50% boardwalk, start and finish on sand

The half marathon follows a waterfront route that passes Sea World, Hospitality Point, the West Mission Bay Drive bridge, and Mission Beach before finishing where Thomas Avenue meets the Pacific Beach Boardwalk. The 5K runs part on sand and part on the boardwalk with start and finish on the beach.
On-course support for the half marathon includes six aid stations spaced roughly every 2–3 miles; water is provided at every station, electrolytes are available at stations 2 through 6, and energy gel is supplied at about mile 6 and mile 10. The 5K has one aid station with water and restrooms.
Logistics include packet pick-up options at Road Runner Sports and on the Pacific Beach Boardwalk, plus a Mail My Packet option for a fee of $17.50 with a September 15, 2026 deadline. Participant items include a tank top, custom finisher medal, chip timing, free photos, a complimentary drink ticket, and custom sunnies for half marathon finishers.
