Ovarian Cancer 5K
The Ovarian Cancer 5K takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Washington, North Carolina, at Pitt Street Brewing Company On the Pamlico, 307 W. Main Street. The event benefits ovarian cancer research through the Mucinous Ovarian Cancer Coalition and aims to raise funds and awareness about ovarian cancer.

Registration fees for the in-person 5K vary by date: $35 until June 13, $40 from June 14 to August 13, and $45 from August 14 to September 26. The virtual entry fee is $30. No refunds are offered.
Apparel and awards information: in-person 5K runners receive a t-shirt with a custom logo from a local artist when ordered by August 15; hats and tank tops are available for purchase during registration. Medals and t-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations made between August 14 and September 26. Virtual participants will receive a medal. Awards include top three male and female overall finishers and age-group awards for 12 and under and 13 to 16 years. Packet pickup occurs on the Friday and Saturday before the race at the Pitt Street location.
The event is open to walkers and running strollers; strollers must start behind runners and walkers. Bicycles and skateboards are not allowed. The event is timed by Run The East, LLC. Food and music will be available at the post-run gathering, and participants 21 and older are provided one beer ticket with ID check.
