Ovarian Cancer 5K
The Ovarian Cancer 5K is a fundraising run and community event on September 26, 2026 in Washington, North Carolina at 307 W. Main Street. Proceeds benefit ovarian cancer research through the Mucinous Ovarian Cancer Coalition. The event offers an in-person 5K and an admission option that does not include the 5K but includes a beverage and a t-shirt.
Registration fee tiers for in-person entries are listed as follows: $35 until June 13; $40 from June 14 to August 13; $45 from August 14 to September 26. A t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations placed by August 15. Organizers note that t-shirts and medals are not guaranteed for registrations from August 14 through September 26, and refunds are not available.
Race-day services include water along the course and at the finish. Peak Performance Physical Therapy will provide on-site pre-race and post-race recovery assistance with assisted stretching and soft tissue techniques. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the event and on race day at locations on Pitt Street.
Awards are planned for top finishers overall by gender and for top finishers in specified youth age groups. A post-run gathering will include food options and a beverage service where participants 21 years or older receive one beer ticket; IDs will be checked.
