Outrun the Rays 5k Walk/Run
The event is hosted at the Peosta Community Center in Peosta, Iowa. It includes a main running event and a separate kids fun run for children aged nine and under. The running course begins and ends at the Peosta Community Center.
Distances offered:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- Kids Run (1 mile)
The Kids Fun Run is not professionally timed. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers for boys and girls in the kids race. Registration for races includes a t-shirt and a race packet. T-shirt sizing includes 2XL for an additional $2.
Registration opens on March 31 and closes on May 9. The standard entry fee for the 5k is $30. Late entries and same day registration have a higher fee of $35 and an event shirt is not guaranteed for late entries. The 5k race will be timed and scored by J3 Timing.
A community bike ride is also offered from a separate Peosta location with two route options of 24 miles and 38 miles. Entry to the bike ride is by free will donation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
