OUTLAST PHOENIX

OUTLAST PHOENIX is a 6 hour trail endurance challenge held in Phoenix, Arizona. The event uses a repeating 5K loop that participants must complete every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event; runners who miss a lap are removed. Completing all six laps results in an OUTLAST finish.

The listed event format is the 6 Hour Challenge with a distance of 18 Miles. Terrain is trail based and can include dirt, rocks, roots, elevation changes, and sometimes pavement or gravel. Each 5K is timed individually and a runner who finishes all six will have a combined time recorded for local awards and the world leaderboard.

Participant awards and items:

• 4 laps earns the “Grit Earned” patch
• 5 laps earns the “Survivor” patch
• 6 laps earns a premium “OUTLAST” medal All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee.

Aid and logistics: there will be water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp or loop start. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a tent or personal aid station, but no stakes are allowed.

Competition and progression: top male and female finishers by combined time win the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are ranked on a world leaderboard. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6 hour events including the Championship receives a $1,000 cash prize. The top five male and female 6 hour champions from each city earn a spot at the Outlast World Championship on December 4, 2027 in DFW where Championship prizes for first through third are listed as $1,200, $800, and $500.
