OUTLAST ARKANSAS

OUTLAST is a timed trail endurance challenge in Higden, AR that runs as either a six hour or twelve hour event. Competitors complete a 5K lap every hour; each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event. Runners who finish early may rest until the next round. Missing a lap removes the participant from further rounds.

Courses are on trail terrain with natural surfaces, elevation, and variable conditions. The event provides a basecamp loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event; participants use their own bottle or hydration system. Tent or personal aid setups are permitted at the site.

Awards and recognition are given at several milestones: patches after four and five laps, a premium six inch medal for six hour finishers, and a premium twelve inch medal for twelve hour finishers. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Finishers who complete all six laps are ranked on a world leaderboard; the fastest across all OUTLAST six hour events earns a $1,000 cash World Champion prize. Top local male and female combined 5K times win the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Top five male and female six hour champions from each city earn spots in the Outlast World Championship with additional prize money for top championship places.
