OUTLAST AMARILLO - Night Out Edition
OUTLAST Amarillo is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge held at 9101 Mariposa Drive, Amarillo, TX on August 28-29, 2027. The format requires competitors to complete a 5K every hour; each lap must be finished within the hour to continue. Missing a lap removes the participant from further rounds. Completing all six rounds results in a premium OUTLAST medal and a national leaderboard ranking.
Courses are trail-based with natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions; some sections may include pavement or gravel. The event provides a basecamp/loop start aid area with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event so participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Headlamps are required for night participants. Recommended items include trail shoes, layers, a hydration system, and fuel between laps. Participants may set up a personal tent or aid station.
Recognition and prizes are awarded by performance and participation. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST T‑shirt. Four completed laps earn a “Grit Earned” patch; five laps earn a “Survivor” patch; six laps earn the premium medal. The fastest combined 5K times at each event determine local winners and placement on the national leaderboard. A national champion receives $1,000. The top five male and female 6-hour finishers from each city qualify for the Outlast Championship on December 4, 2027 in DFW, where championship prizes of $1,200, $800, and $500 are awarded for first through third place.
