Event Overview

The Outdoor X12 Endurance Run & Ruck is a long-distance event held in Dayton, Ohio, in collaboration with Five Rivers Metroparks and the Subaru Outdoor Experience. Participants have 12 hours to complete as many laps as possible on a closed-circuit course. The event offers two primary categories for participants: a standard endurance run and a ruck division.

Course Details

The race takes place on a flat loop measuring approximately 2.7 miles. The terrain consists of 96% grass and trail double track, with the remaining 4% on a paved bike path. Because the course is a repeating loop, participants pass the main staging area frequently throughout the duration of the event.

Participation Options

Participants can choose between two different formats:

  • 12 Hour Endurance Run
  • 12 Hour Endurance Ruck

The ruck division requires participants to carry specific weight based on their body mass. Individuals weighing less than 150 lbs must carry a minimum of 15 lbs, while those weighing 150 lbs or more must carry a minimum of 25 lbs. Finisher medals are awarded to those who remain active on the course for the full 12 hours, and participants in the ruck category also receive a patch upon completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
