Event Overview
The Ohio River Road Runners Club (ORRRC) presents a multi-distance running event held in Xenia, Ohio. The event includes the 59th edition of the marathon, the 37th half marathon, and the 4th annual 10K. All races occur on a Sunday in late March. The start and finish lines are located at the Xenia YMCA.
Concrete distances available include:
- 42.2 km (Marathon)
- 21.1 km (Half Marathon)
- 10 km
Participant Information
A strict time cut-off is enforced for all distances at a pace of 13:45 minutes per mile. This equates to approximately 6 hours for the marathon, 3 hours for the half marathon, and 1 hour 25 minutes for the 10K. Participants who do not meet these pace requirements will be redirected or transported back to the venue. Registration must be completed in advance or at the Saturday packet pick-up, as there is no registration available on the day of the race.
Facilities and Post-Race
Finishers in all three categories receive a medal. A post-race meal featuring items such as pancakes, eggs, fruit, and coffee is served at the Xenia Adult Recreation and Service Center, located next to the YMCA. Participants and volunteers may access this meal for free. The Xenia YMCA provides locker rooms for those wishing to shower or change after the event.
Rules and Awards
The course guidelines prohibit bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates, and animals. Running strollers are not permitted, though walkers with strollers may participate if they stay at the back and meet the time cut-offs. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in age categories ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over. A wheelchair division is also recognized.
