The One by the Canal - Overview
The One by the Canal is scheduled for November 9, 2025. The event is a Half Marathon that starts at Cowley Recreation Ground (High Street, Cowley, UB8 2DZ) and finishes at Cassiobury Park, Gade Ave, Watford, WD18 7LG. Entry includes a finisher medal, refreshments, and chip timing.
Route and event information
The route follows the Grand Union Canal and uses country trails and woodland paths. All courses are signed and marshalled. There are four water stations on the route, placed at approximately 5 km intervals, with water served in cups. Additional water is available in the event village for refilling bottles.
Facilities in the event village include medical cover, a bag drop (use the tear-off strip on the race number), a food caterer, free portable toilets (there are no toilets on the route), and event photography usually available within 24 hours. There are no dedicated changing rooms or showers. A pre-race coach transfer from the finish to the start is available but must be pre-booked; no transport options are provided after the event.
