About the race
One Ale of a Trail is a trail running event set along the Lakefront Trail in Little Elm, Texas, beside Lake Lewisville on November 7, 2026. The event offers timed results for all distances and uses chip timing to provide official finish times and live results.
The course follows mostly crushed granite, packed dirt, and natural trail surfaces and includes a few bridges and lakeside sections. Aid stations with water and hydration will be on course and refreshments are provided at the finish line, including beer for participants age 21 and over. Free parking is available near the start and finish at Beard Park.

Packet pickup is offered in the days before the race at local running stores and on race morning at the race site. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, masters, and age group winners for each distance; winners must be present at the awards ceremony to collect prizes. The event provides a long sleeve shirt, a custom bottle opener finisher medal, and a race bib to participants. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on course.
