One Ale of a Trail - Little Elm, TX
One Ale of a Trail is a fall trail running event held along the Lakefront Trail in Little Elm, Texas. The event offers runnable trail distances that follow shoreline sections of Lake Lewisville and include mostly crushed granite, packed dirt, and natural trail surfaces with a few bridges.
Runners may choose from these distances:
- 3 miles
- 5 miles
- 9 miles
The event uses professional chip timing and features aid stations on course with water and hydration. Finishers receive event items that include a vintage-inspired long sleeve shirt, a custom bottle opener finisher medal, and a race bib. Post-race amenities include a music program with DJ energy, a beer garden offering a free beer to participants age 21 and over, and a relaxed gathering area with lawn chairs.
Awards are presented to top overall male and female finishers, overall masters, and top age-group finishers for each distance; recipients must be present at the awards ceremony to collect awards. Packet pickup is available on several prior dates and locations before race day. The course is described as approachable and runnable, intended for participants ranging from first-time trail runners to experienced trail enthusiasts.
