About the race
The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park event on Saturday 17 July 2027 offers chip timed 5 km and 10 km races routed within Olympic North Park in London. The organiser describes the course as flat and fast; both distances run on tarmac with an elevation of around 3 m per lap. GPX files are available for GPS watches and route planning.
Distances:
- 5 km : 2 laps, tarmac
- 10 km : 4 laps, tarmac
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned around the course, with signage where different distances diverge and rejoin. Water is provided on each lap and at the finish. An event village with food and drink and volunteer support is planned near the finish area.
Practical details published by the organiser note on-site toilets at Timberlodge Cafe, a bag drop in Timber Lodge Cage Room B, cycle parking in the park and paid parking at Westfield Stratford City. The park will be open to the general public during the event. The event supports Special Olympics Great Britain and welcomes buggy runners and wheelchair athletes, with guidance to be mindful of other runners and follow marshal instructions.
