About the race
The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 5k and 10k take place in Olympic North Park, London, and support Special Olympics Great Britain. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop.
The routes run on tarmac through the park and are described as flat and fast. Course details:
- 5 km 3 m elevation, 2 laps, tarmac
- 10 km 3 m elevation, 4 laps, tarmac
Marshals and distance flags guide runners where laps diverge and rejoin. Water is provided on each lap and at the finish. The park remains open to the general public during the event, so participants are asked to be aware of other park users.
An event village is provided with food, drink and finish line refreshments. Race pack collection and a group warm up are scheduled on race morning. Cycle parking is available in the park and paid parking can be found at Westfield Stratford City. The nearest public transport options include Stratford, Stratford International, Hackney Wick, Pudding Mill and Leyton stations, with step free access at some entrances.
Results are chip timed and included in national rankings. Photographs are taken at the finish and provided free of charge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
