Ollie's Ultra
Ollie's Ultra is an endurance running event at Santa Fe Park in Chanute, KS. The course is a USATF certified loop of 2.022 miles run on a soft chat trail at the site of the old Safari Golf Course. Runners complete as many full loops as they choose during their selected time window; only full loops count and strict cutoffs apply. In the event of a tie, the time when the final full loop was completed serves as the tiebreaker.
Event formats include:
- 48 hour
- 36 hour
- 24 hour
- 12 hour
- 6 hour
- 3 hour
The 48, 24, 12 and 6 hour distances are eligible for state records. Official timing is provided. Runners must complete the course on their own and carry their own nutrition; crew access is limited to the manned base aid station near the start and finish of each loop. A fully staffed aid station offers snacks, hot food, water and Tailwind. Participants are encouraged to carry personal water bottles or packs. There is space for tents near the aid station and RV campsites are nearby.
Pacers are permitted after 12 hours with one pacer on course per entrant at a time; pacer bibs have a nominal fee. Registration includes a T shirt and finisher award; custom awards are given to the top three in each division. Deferrals are valid for one year.
