Course and rules
The course runs counter clockwise on a soft chat trail at the old Safari Golf Course. Runners must complete the course without outside pacing assistance; nutrition must be carried by the runner and the only crew access is the manned base aid station near the start/finish. No strollers, dogs, or bikes are allowed. Any course cutting leads to disqualification. Runners in the 48, 36, 24, and 12-hour events are required to have a headlamp or light for after dark. Pacers are allowed for entrants after 12 hours, with one pacer on course per entrant at a time.
Facilities and entries
A fully staffed aid station at base camp will provide snacks, hot food options, water, and Tailwind. Participants have space to set up tents near the aid station and nearby RV campsites are available. Registration includes a t-shirt and a finisher award; hoodies are available for an extra cost. Deferrals are valid for one year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
