About the race
The Winter Running Series is a four-part training series produced by the GOAL Foundation and serves as the official training series of the Ogden Marathon. The series is supported by race-specific training plans created by Fleet Feet and includes both free and paid 16-week plans for marathon and half marathon preparation.
The series for 2027 includes in-person events on these dates and locations:
- February 13, 2027 : course to be determined
- February 27, 2027 : Start/End at Dee Events Center
- March 13, 2027 : Start/End at Roosters B Street
- April 3, 2027 : Start/End at Eden Park
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 mile) with a short course option around 2 miles
- 10K (6.2 mile) with a short course option around 4 miles
- 10 Mile with a short course option around 4.5 miles
- 13.1 Mile (Half Marathon) with a short course option around 10 miles
Event services and policies include professional timing, aid stations, finish line treats, a unisex long sleeve participant shirt for series registrants, finishers medals at each race, and a fifth series medal awarded to participants who attend all four races in person. Standalone registrations receive a finisher medal but not the participant shirt unless purchased. BIBs are reused across races; lost or forgotten BIBs incur a replacement fee. Dogs and other pets are not allowed at events, packet pickup, start areas, or on course. The series is USATF sanctioned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
