OEC Fun Run

Event details

The 3rd Annual OEC Fun Run is a community running event held in Sugar Land, Texas. The event is organized to remember loved ones and to promote fire safety awareness in the community. Distances offered include:

• 5K
• Kids 1K

Both the 5K and the Kids 1K are chip timed. The Kids 1K is for age 12 and under and parents may accompany children. Each registration for either distance includes a finisher's medal, a t-shirt, and one ticket for a breakfast taco.

Practical information

The venue is Sugar Land Memorial Park at 15300 University Blvd. The course starts at the main pavilion next to the playground, runs along University Blvd, circles the lake, includes a turnaround before U of H, and returns to finish at the pavilion. There is parking by the main pavilion and public bathrooms next to the pavilion. Race day packet pickup is available the morning of the event; pre-race packet pickup is offered at Fleet Feet Sugar Land. No pets are allowed on the course. Strollers are welcome. After the run there will be firetrucks, firefighters, food, a raffle drawing, and live music. The event will be held rain or shine; if conditions make the event unsafe it may be cancelled and fees donated to the organizing foundation.
